Mortal Kombat Vs. Street Fighter

In a new segment called “Who wore it better”, we are putting two similar movies together and asking the question, “Who wore it better?” Shawn and I along with a new guest compare both movies to see which video game adaptation movie was closer to the source material. Afterwards we have another Proud movie draft and pick our top 5 video game movies animated or live-action. Go on twitter @mgnppodcast Thursday to vote for the person who picked the best set of movies.

Ep. 10: Solo: A Star Wars Story

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away…
*cue Star Wars Theme

Chapter X:
The podcast, Movie Geek & Proud, have just been welcomed by the podcast community and family. As they settle in with their new podcaster brothern, a new episode was recorded. A review of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Through the franchise a civilization known as The Fanboys would carry out the fandom of Star Wars. Soon a group of movie goers emerged. Those who didn’t believe in the hype and see these films as just some sci fi adventures like all others: The Non-believers. A summit meeting has commenced and two from The Fanboys and Non-believers have come together to review this film and give their thoughts on the origins of one of the beloved characters: Han Solo. After the review, a battle struck causing the factions to go head-head in choosing a team of Movie Sidekicks they deem worthy to join in on their quest.

Now it is up to the rest of the galaxy to put a cease to this battle once and for all and vote a winner so that there may be peace…

Ep. 8: Hereditary

Hello Movie Geeks. This week’s episode will be on the latest horror flick Hereditary. In addition to a review without spoiler and then with spoilers later in the episode, I also talk about the new Halloween 2018 Trailer, a short film festival I attended in L.A., as well as played a fun Movie Draft game picking the best Horror Sequels in the game.

Listen to episode 8 and if you haven’t seen the movie Hereditary yet, that is okay. I made to sure warn listeners when I will start talking about spoilers.

I will write a review of the film as well very soon for those who enjoy a good post to read. Comment below if you have seen the film. Did you hate it? Love it? Is it considered a horror movie?

Also, if you are just listening to the show for the first time. Feel free to answer any of the previous questions of the week. I will most likely read them on the show as a shout out.

Ep. 7: Spice World (1998)

Due to an outdoor screening of the film, I decided to review this 90’s fun flick about one of the best Pop girl groups ever, The Spice Girls. Join me and 3 other friends as we give ourselves our own “spice” names, review the film, talk about our outdoor screening experience, and just laugh and laugh on how Posh Spice is the funniest one in the bunch.

We also give our 3 min or less reviews on Life of the Party, Tully, and Upgrade. We give our initial thoughts to trailers Bohemian Rhapsody and Skyscrapers.

Give us a listen and thank you for following the blog and podcast. Comment below your spice name and what you think about the film if you saw Spice World.

Thanks as always for listening

Ep. 6: Strangers on a Train

Movie Geeks, it is time for me to review a movie I haven’t seen before. I explore the world terror, suspense, and circumstance in the 1951 classic Strangers on a Train, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. I am not too familiar with his films so it was nice to be able to view this movie along with my friends Shawn and James. We discuss the film from the plot, to the characters, to the cinematography. Are black and white films still relevant? Who still talks to random strangers? Also, is it really necessary to remake this film? We answer all of this and more in this episode of Movie Geek & Proud. Enjoy the show.

Ep. 5 Crazy, Stupid, Love

Rom-Coms, you either hate them or love them. Shawn and I tackle the genre on the do’s and don’ts of a good romantic comedy by reviewing Crazy Stupid Love from Rob’s Collection. We also visit the trailer park to talk about the trailers to Crazy Rich Asians and Happy Time Murders. Under our 3 min or less reviews we review Deadpool 2 and Breaking In currently in theatres. in between all of this we play a game inspired by the genre and deal with the struggle that Ryan Reynolds is not in this movie.
