Ep.16: The Shawshank Redemption

https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-st7af-96c14c

Take a trip to Shawshank prison, confess your sins, and redeem yourself in this latest episode of Movie Geek & Proud. Continuing the month of movies we haven’t seen before. Shawn is going through redemption for his sin of never seeing the #1 ranked movie on IMDB. We get his first reactions to the film and also hear from James who returns from a 10 episode break. How did this film hold up after all these years? Is this film a “Bro” movie among straight males? Who would you cast if there were a remake of the movie? We talk about all of this and more.

Moviegeekrob’s Reviews: Solo, Life of the Party, and Tully

Playing a little catch up on here, I wanted to combine a few movies I have seen in the past couple of weeks and keep the momentum going on my entertainment scale for critiquing movies. I have heard mix reviews of all three titles I plan to write about in this post and that is Life of the Party, Solo, and Tully. As I saw each film I was already with expectations of what I will see and with one of them a twist. Sometimes that can change how you watch a film and also the final verdict. So how did these movies pan out?

Episode 3: Requiem for a Dream

Hi Movie Geeks, I haven’t had the chance to see any movies this past weekend. I have a lot of catching up to do. I did however manage to record and post another episode of Movie Geek & Proud. Give it a listen. It’s a episode of appreciation on cinematography and music. My friend Shawn and I also discuss the latest Venom Trailer and also how we enjoyed the British horror movie Ghost Stories. We also talk about the unsettling movies that we can’t watch twice. I hope you enjoy Episode 3 and comment your thoughts on the film and this episode.

Remember to subscribe, rate, and comment on the app you are listening to this episode and share with those you may think will enjoy this show. I do plan on seeing some movies this weekend so more reviews on this blog on the way.

Question of the Week #3

Movie Geeks, there are just some movies out there that are just so out there, so crazy, so unsettling that you can’t bring yourself to watch again. Not even on a bet is it worth watching because the movie just leave a horrible taste in your mouth and a bad feeling in your stomach.

This week’s “question of the week” has to do with just that:

question of the week 3

Can you tell what movie that is from the image in the background? That is a hint as to what I will be covering for Episode 3. Comment your answer below and tune in Wednesday for the next episode. Also feel free to answer the previous questions even though the week has passed. I want to know more about the people who follow the blog and the podcast.

Thanks for checking out this post.
