Movie Review: Colossal is a COLOSSAL Hit

Last night I had the pleasure of watching a movie about a young woman and a monster who are linked together by unseen forces. No, I am not talking about Beauty and the Beast. I am talking about Anne Hathaway’s latest film Colossal which also stars Jason Sudeikis and Dan Stevens (who is also in Beauty and the Beast).

In the film, Anne Hathaway plays Gloria, a woman with a drinking problem and no ambition had reality kicked her hard in the face when her boyfriend Tim (Dan Stevens) broke up with her and kicked her out. With nowhere to go she returns to her hometown to try to start fresh. Meanwhile, in Seoul, South Korea a giant monster or should I say Kaiju is manifested and destroying the city. Gloria following the story discovers that the monsters actions are linked to her and what she does at a certain part of the day.

Movie Review: Alice Through the Looking Glass

The follow-up movie to Alice in Wonderland (2010) continues the story with the return of Alice back to Wonderland to discover that her bestie, The Mad Hatter, has become fairly ill because he believes that his family, who supposedly died during an attack, is actually alive but no one believes him. Alice determined to get The Mad Hatter back to help, she turns to the White Queen and Time himself to go back in time and figure out what happened to his family the day of the accident. Which also causes a chain of events that could wipe Wonderland from existence.
