Rarely do I have time to see romantic dramas and comedies among the other genres I prefer to watch let alone ones that involve young adult and teenage stars or geared towards that demographic. I think The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Me Before You were the last sort of young adult drama I watched. Which I thought were alright movies. Mainly because of the cast. Movies like The Fault in our Stars, PaperTown, That Spectacular Now, The Longest Ride,Etc. are ones that I didn’t get to see yet. Now you have another young adult teen drama usually adapted from a best seller novel is Everything, Everything.
This film is based on a young adult novel from author Nicola Yoon. It’s a story of a young girl who is on the edge of becoming 18 who up till now has been living and confined in her home her entire life. She suffers a rare disease that causes her to get sick very easily so she never goes outside. She then finds reason to want more than just her view outside her window when a new boy moves in next door and the two form a bond that awakens something in her to want something beyond the walls of her home.
